What are Petrochemicals?
Petrochemicals, also called petroleum distillates, are chemical products derived from petroleum. While some chemical compounds are made from petroleum, they can also be obtained from other fossil fuels like coal or natural gas, or renewable sources such as corn or sugarcane.

Olefins are produced by steam cracking of natural gas liquids like ethane and propane, while aromatics are produced by catalytic reforming of naphtha.
